Traffic jam is a long line of vehicles in which many vehicles get struck in jam. It is one of the major problems of city life. It occurs in big cities and towns. There are many causes of traffic jam. The main cause of traffic jam is the narrowness of roads in proportion to the large number of vehicles. Our vehicles have increased but our roads have not increased. The numbers of unlicensed vehicles are increasing day by day. The drivers have little knowledge about traffic rules. The number of traffic police is insufficient. Parking here and there and overtaking tendency are also the cause of occurring traffic jam. We can not reach school, college, office and hospital in time. Sometimes ambulance and fire brigade can not go hurry up due to traffic jam. However, this problem should be solved. The number of roads should be increased. Sufficient traffic police should be posted in important place. Traffic rules should also be imposed with an iron hand. Unlicensed vehicles should be removed. Drivers have to be conscious about traffic rules and regulations.
12. A journey by air
A journey by air is thrilling and at the same time enjoyable. A few days ago, I made such a journey from Dhaka to Chittagong. It was December 23, 2011. I arrived at the Shajallal International Airport, Dhaka, about an hour before the flight. An airport officer checked my ticket and did all other formalities for the flight. At about 8:30 a.m. I boarded the plane with other fellow passengers. When all the passengers were in, the plane took off. Soon the plane started flying high above the land at full speed towards the destination. I looked through the window and saw patches of clouds floating around the plane. The most amazing thing was that houses and trees below looked like tiny toys. Rivers flowing below appeared to be thin lines drawn on a sheet of paper. I was lost in the midst of such amazing situation. It was a short journey. In less than an hour the plane reached Chittagong airport. It gradually came down and landed smoothly. Thus my first but happy and enjoyable journey came to an end. Although I felt a little nervous at the beginning. I got it over after a short while. I really enjoyed the journey.
13. The rose
There are varieties of flowers in our country. Among them the rose is the loveliest of all. It is noted for its charming beauty and excellent fragrance. Many people grow it in their garden. There are roses of different colours such as red, white, pink etc. Among them the red rose is the most beautiful and attractive to us. When they bloom in the garden, the garden assumes a charming view and pleases both our mind and eyes. They spread their sweet smell all around. Really no other flower is so beautiful to look at as well as has sweet in smell as the rose. That is why the rose is called the queen of flowers. Everybody likes it for its exquisite beauty and sweet fragrance. A garden can not be conceived of without a rose. We decorate them in flower-vases. We get rose water and Otto from the petals of rose. The cultivation of roses is growing popular among the people of our country day by day.
14. My reading room
The room, which is generally used for reading, is called a reading room. As I am a student, I have a separate room for my reading. It is located just at the south end of our one storied building. It is not a big and spacious room but it is neat and cleans one. To allow free excess of light and air it has two doors and three windows. It is well set with fans and lights. In front of the room there is a flower garden that makes the room more attractive. The walls of the room are decorated with some paintings, pictures and photos of eminent writers and poets. In the room there are several chairs, a table and a bookshelf. All my books and necessary articles are kept in the shelf systematically. As I am very fond of flowers I always keep a flower vase in front of me on my table. It cheers up my mind and gives me much pleasure. My reading room is really a nice one having all facilities for studies. I seldom allow anybody in the room while it’s time for reading. I feel comfortable and easy while I am in the clean. I also keep it fit for studies without any disturbance. I really feel proud of my reading room.
15. Our School Library
A library is a room or, a building containing a collection of books of various kinds. Now-a-days it is a part and parcel of all schools. Like many other institutions we have a big library in our school. It is a situated on the upstairs of the school building. It is a spacious room having a number of Almirahs containing books on literature, history, geography, science, religion etc. At present it has as many as ten thousand books on various subjects. We are really proud that our school has a rich library. There is a well-furnished reading room attached to it. Students come here to pass their leisure hours by reading books according to their choice. There is a trained and qualified librarian who is in charge of the library. He helps the students to select good books and keeps the library in a perfect order. Every year, the library is enriched with new books on latest subjects and topics. It is, so to speak, a storehouse of knowledge. Really the true function of a school library is to supply the students’ good books that widen their knowledge and help them to grow up intellectually. So every student should go to the library regularly in order to equip himself with knowledge about different things and subjects.

16. Good Health
Good health refers to the physical and mental soundness which makes one healthy, fit and active and keeps one free from diseases. But it is not easy to maintain good health. In order to keep good health, one should follow certain rules of health. One should take regular physical exercise, proper rest or sleep and above all, a balanced diet. But it is a matter of regret that most of our people, as they are living below the poverty line, cannot manage all the foods necessary for maintaining good health. But even the rich and educated people of our country, though they take a wide variety of foods, are not conscious of the rules of good health. The ever-increasing problems of our day-to-day life seem to affect our health greatly. They give rise to frustration, hopelessness, mental disorder and much other socio-economic confusion. All these factors take away the peace of our mind and affect our health. However, a person with a simple and carefree life is likely to enjoy a sound mind in a sound body.
