5. My First Day at School
Of
course, there are a few memorable events or days in my life that I recall in my
leisure. Of all the memorable days or events, my first day at school is the
most memorable and most significant in importance. Of course, I can remember
the events and circumstances that took place on that very day. The long
cherished day on which I went to school for the first time was the 19th January
in 2013. Really I was very much excited
and felt a bit proud that I was going to be a school student. When I entered
the school at 7 am the feeling in my mind was a curious admixture (mswgkªb) of joy and fear.
The school premises including its magnificent buildings charmed me most. My
presence among a large number of unknown faces made me feel scared and lonely.
Luckily I meet my cousin who is a new student in the school. He led me to a
notice board from which I took down my class routine. When I entered into my
class room and took my seat. T was cordially received by my classmates. The
heartily (Avš—wiK) conversation of
my classmates gave me joy and pleasure. I enjoyed the first class with rapt (Mfxi) attention and
thrill. When the ball rang a gentle man who was the teacher of English entered
into the classroom. He delivered us a lecture on the importance of learning
English in Bangladesh.
The Teachers assured (wbwðZfv‡e
ejv)
us of all possible help and spoke so politely and friendly that I was
greatly charmed at their modes (aiY) of delivering (Dc¯’vcbvq ) lectures on respective (wbw`©ó ) subjects.
I left the school compound at 12 am. With a dream of new hope and aspiration (D”PvKv¶v). The first day at my school; was thus over with a
pleasant impression (Abyf‚wZ). As my first day at school has cast (wb‡¶c Kiv/ †djv ) a permanent and positive impact on my life, this day is
so far the most memorable day or event in my life.
