What is a Pronoun?

A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. It is used to avoid repeating the same noun in a sentence or across multiple sentences.

Kinds of Pronoun and Examples

There are several types of pronouns. Here are the main types:

1. Personal Pronoun:

   • Refers to a specific person or thing.
   • Examples: I, you, he, she, it, we, they
   • বাংলা: বিশেষভাবে ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর প্রতি নির্দেশ করে।
     • উদাহরণ: আমি, তুমি, সে, তারা

2. Demonstrative Pronoun:

   • Points to a specific thing or things.
   • Examples: this, that, these, those
   • বাংলা: নির্দিষ্ট বস্তু বা ব্যক্তির দিকে নির্দেশ করে।
     • উদাহরণ: এটা, সেটা, এগুলো, ওগুলো

3. Possessive Pronoun:

   • Shows ownership or possession.
   • Examples: mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs
   • বাংলা: মালিকানা বা অধিকারের প্রতি নির্দেশ করে।
     • উদাহরণ: আমার, তোমার, তার, তাদের

4. Reflexive Pronoun:

   • Refers back to the subject of the sentence.
   • Examples: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, themselves
   • বাংলা: বাক্যে পূর্ববর্তী ব্যক্তির প্রতি নিজেকে নির্দেশ করে।
     • উদাহরণ: নিজে, নিজেকে, নিজেরা

5. Relative Pronoun:

   • Introduces a clause and connects it to the noun.
   • Examples: who, whom, whose, which, that
   • বাংলা: একটি বাক্যাংশের সাথে নাম বা বিশেষ্যকে সংযুক্ত করে।
     • উদাহরণ: যিনি, যাকে, যার, যা

6. Interrogative Pronoun:

   • Used to ask questions.
   • Examples: who, whom, whose, which, what
   • বাংলা: প্রশ্ন করার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়।
     • উদাহরণ: কে, কাকে, কার, কী

7. Indefinite Pronoun:

• Refers to nonspecific persons or things.
• Examples: everyone, someone, anyone, no one, something
• বাংলা: অজানা বা অনির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে নির্দেশ করে।
• উদাহরণ: সবাই, কেউ, কিছু, কিছুই না
